Thanks to everyone — players, scorekeepers, referees, the Foothills rink staff and owner, spouses, and our incredible fans — for making a smooth (relatively) transition from John Ling’s SDOHL to the first season of the WDHL.
The team captains were an enormous help and always available for advice. They did a great job rolling with some of the early scheduling issues and addressing some playoff issues. John Ling continues to support the league from afar (Tucson) and answered a untold number of questions and was a vital resource.
Overall, there was a good parity in the league. Most games were quite close and the social spirit of the league prevailed.
Summer approaches and all intentions are to make it as fun and competitive as season as winter 2021-22 (and before) was. Again, thanks everyone.
